Lyrics:
Humpty Dumpty Download Mp3 Download
Oh, The grand old Duke of York,
He had ten thousand men;
He marched them up to the top of the hill,
And he marched them down again.
He had ten thousand men;
He marched them up to the top of the hill,
And he marched them down again.
They all marched up to the top of the hill
with a hup, two, three, four, drilling their drill
with a hup, two, three, four, drilling their drill
Now when you’re up, you’re up,
And when you’re down, you’re down,
And when you’re only half-way up,
You’re neither up nor down.
And when you’re down, you’re down,
And when you’re only half-way up,
You’re neither up nor down.
Description
When my son was a toddler, he had a love of — actually, more of an obsession with — Humpty Dumpty. After hearing it for the first time at around 15 months old, that was practically all we listened to at home and in the car.
Now that he’s a little older, he’s not quite as into it, but he has managed to pass his love of the song down to his little sister, so we still sing “Humpty Dumpty” pretty regularly.

So it should come as no surprise that I recorded my own version, which I have used pretty often in my work with little ones. We act out the story together with easy movements, and I encourage everyone to sing along to this classic nursery rhyme.
